Frequently Asked Questions

What capacities, dimensions and material are available?

The QR-TWB series comes in two sizes that share a 115 mm top diameter and a 90 mm base diameter: 500 ml at a 75 mm bowl height and 28.5 g, and 700 ml at a 100 mm bowl height and 35 g. The model number matches the capacity. Both are molded in food-grade polypropylene, resin code 5, and are suitable for microwave reheating and refrigerated storage.

How does the twist lid close, and how tight is the seal?

The bowl rim and the lid each carry a thread that mates when the lid is turned, and the ribbed outer edge of the lid gives a place to grip while turning. The closure is opened by turning rather than by lifting a snap-on edge. The threaded closure is leak resistant, so the bowl carries soup, broth and sauce portions. Keep the fill below the thread so no food sits on the rim before the lid is fitted.

What are these bowls typically used for?

Typical uses are an individual soup or broth portion at a takeaway or delivery counter, a portion of cut fruit or snacks, and a wrapped sweet or candy assortment for pick-and-mix retail, where the clear body shows the selection from the side. The 500 ml size suits a single fruit or sweet portion, and the 700 ml size gives room for a broth-based meal with ingredients.
